In the Royal Hall, you step into one of the most pivotal moments in Danish history.
Around the year 963, King Harald Bluetooth decides that the Danes shall become Christians. Shortly thereafter, he constructs the monumental ring fortresses, and on the Jelling Stone he has these words carved: Harald united Denmark and made the Danes Christian.
This moment is preceded by centuries of belief in Thor, Odin, spirits, and other beings from the rich universe of the Norse gods—a faith upheld by rituals, sacrificial feasts, and ancient traditions. Now, a new god breaks through from the south: Christ.
Join us in a time when one belief replaces another. When generations’ worldview dissolves—and a new one is born. And when power, faith, and politics merge in the decision that changed Denmark forever.
