The Experience at the Viking Fortress Borgring

At Denmark’s new museum, the Viking Fortress Borgring, we tell the story of Harald Bluetooth’s ring fortresses. Starting from Borgring, we take our guests back to a time when one faith replaced another — when over half a millennium of worshipping the Norse gods gave way to the new god from the south: Christ.

Step into Harald Bluetooth’s footsteps

Just outside Køge rises the Viking Fortress Borgring. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2023 and now revived as a museum, here you can walk in the footsteps of one of Denmark’s most iconic kings – Harald Bluetooth – and explore Denmark’s transition from Norse paganism to Christianity.

More Viking experiences await

If you’re hungry for more after visiting the indoor exhibitions, you can enjoy the café’s menu on the go around the grounds or in our specially designed dining hall. The menu has something for both little and big Vikings. You can also go on a raid in the museum shop, where you can buy magnets, books, Viking games, comics, and toys that let the memory of Borgring live on at home.

We look forward to seeing you at the Viking Fortress Borgring.
